Finding joy in context of trans genocide and suicide
My work is about finding joy through darkness.
The darkness that I explore is trans genocide and suicide.
When I get to a particularly dark place, I make a painting about it, and I discover something extraordinarily beautiful.
This shows me that I'm full of joy even though it is hard to see a lot of the time.
This keeps me alive.
